Cultura Japonesa (I) : Maid Cafe

Los Maid Cafe son cafeterías frecuentadas esencialmente por Otakus en el que las camareras van vestidas como sirvientas y tratan a los clientes como si fuesen los señores de una mansión de la Europa del siglo XIX recibiéndoles con una reverencia seguida de alguna frase del tipo “okaerinasaimasen goshujinsama” (Bienvenido a casa mi señor).

Algunos de los Maid Cafes más populares son el Maid Cafe Datenshi no Kyuujitu Little PSX, donde puedes beber lo que quieras durante 30 minutos por unos 400 yenes (menos de 3 euros) y las maids participan en toda clase de juegos ñoños con los clientes; el @Home Cafe donde te cobran unos 1000 yenes (6,5 euros) por hacerte una foto con una maid; o el Cure Maid Cafe, uno de los más antiguos.

Tambien existe una variante de estos, llamados los Butler Cafe, locales dirigidos a mujeres en los que quienes visten uniforme (de mayordomo por lo general) son los chicos. Pero eso no es todo, la oferta de alternativas crece día a día y hay para todos los gustos: desde aquellos en los que el uniforme de sirvienta deja paso a los clásicos disfraces de conejita, hasta otros donde actúan como si fuésemos sus hermanos mayores recibiéndonos con un “okaeri oniichan” (Bienvenido a casa hermanito mayor). Realmente friki.
