Oliver Stone (JFK, Nixon, World Trade Center), vuelve con ganas de meter el dedo en la llaga con una película basada en la biografia no autorizada de George W.Bus, el actual presidente de los Estados Unidos.
La nueva película de Stone, estara protagonizada por Josh Brolin (George W.), Elizabeth Banks (Laura Bush), James Cromwell (George H.W. Bush), Ellen Burstyn (Barbara Bush), Thandie Newton (Condoleezza Rice), Jeffrey Wright (Colin Powell), Scott Glenn (Donald Rumsfeld) y Joan Gruffudd (Tony Blair), y se estrenara en 17 de Octubre de este mismo año.
“Realmente no sabemos mucho sobre el señor Bush más allá de las imágenes controladas a las que nos permiten acceder a través de la televisión. Esta película es un intento atrevido de mirar tras esa cortina", afirmó Stone en un comunicado, en el que agradece a Lionsgate por "tener la independencia necesaria para llevar esta historia provocadora a la audiencia estadounidense".
Recordemos que la política belicista de Bush ya había generado los exitosos documentales “Fahrenheit 9/11” y “Sicko”, ambos del laureado director Michael Moore, muy a pesar de la intensa campaña de desprestigio de Fox News.
